What are you Curious About?

One of my favorite questions to ask people is what is occupying their attention? What are they curious about and where is the curiosity taking them.

I believe curiosity is one of the ways God talks to us. What captures and pulls me and what captures and pulls you are most likely different. I asked my friend at breakfast this week what was grabbing her attention and she said she can’t get enough of reading about the environment. She has a thirst for the newest forms of energy, what trials are taking place, and the latest breakthroughs in science. I asked another friend who shared she is interested in everything Majong. She can’t get enough of learning the game, its history, and looking for groups she can join and learn in. Another friend is fascinated with manifestation practices and has committed to taking them on, one at a time. I woke up this morning to a PDF on findings from a powerful manifester she wanted to share. A month ago I watched a YouTube video Oprah did on near death experiences. Click here. Actor Jeremy Renner was a guest and spoke of his near death experience. He said “the only thing you take with you when you die is love.” When he said this crying with vulnerability my heart blew wide open and I haven’t been able to stop thinking about his statement since while seeing/feeling love everywhere.

This past weekend I went to Seattle and spent time with a dear friend whose husband died unexpectedly. I sat in her home as her front door opened and one person after the next showed up with food, gifts, hugs, and waves of love. I sat with the family able to palpably feel the love, thick like a web, amongst the people present. I also attended my nephew’s engagement party where both families came together to celebrate this happy occasion. The web was present there too. Young children and new parents scattered amongst couples eating crab cakes and Jersey Mike sandwiches. I had dinner with a couple who I am equal friends with both. During dinner we shared what is emerging from within us and who we are becoming. We were riveted with the unfolding process and I was keenly aware of the web of love between us and surrounding us.

I have gone through many different “initiations through curiosity.” I invite you to pay attention to what pulls you and stays with you. When you become curious, I invite you to follow the thread as though it is a form of communication from your Self to your self. It truly is Holy.

Blessings,
